HEPA Air Purifiers
HEPA air purifiers can make an amazing
difference in your quality of life with virtually no effort on
your part beyond plugging them in. With environmental
pollutants on the rise, isn't it about time you did something
to increase the air quality for you and your loved ones? HEPA
air purifiers are the answer.
Welcome to HEPA Air Purifiers Now! This site
was created to provide you with the information you need as you
go shopping for HEPA air purifiers. Most of us take
clean air for granted or, worse yet, don't even think about the
quality of the air they breathe. But don't you want the highest
air quality for your children? What about pets? And of course,
breathing clean air is one of the simplest things you can do to
live a healthy lifestyle. And now, online shopping has put the
entirety of the market literally at your fingertips! Why spend
hours wandering around a store comparing prices, burning gas
and wasting time when you can compare different makes and
models from many retailers all from the comfort of your own
home? And not a lot of people really understand this, but with
the lower overhead of the online marketplace, retailers
frequently have online only specials. So now you're getting the
best bang for your buck right in your own home. And frequently
even shipping is free! By all means, if you have some time to
spend, shop around your local stores. I'll be surprised if you
can beat online specials anywhere, however.
Understanding the
subject:
What exactly does HEPA stand for?
HEPA stands for high efficiency particulate
arrestance. To put this in the simplest terms possible,
it's basically a filter that works so well, they had to come up
with a new name for it to describe its power. Most people
reviewing air filters compare against HEPA type filters.
Why are HEPA air purifiers considered
better?
HEPA filtered air purifiers remove at
least 99.97% of airborne particles all the way down to .3
micrometers in diameter. To put this in perspective, the red
blood cells in your veins are about 8 micrometers in
diameter. Do not be fooled by products that claim to be
HEPA-like, 99% HEPA or HEPA-type filters! They are not
held to the strict standards of acutal HEPA air purifiers.
How do HEPA air purifiers work?
HEPA air purifiers work by pushing air
through a series of randomly angled fibers. In this way,
they are like just about any other filter on the market
today. However, HEPA filters are arranged in such a way
that even though the largest gap between fibers is larger than
.3 micrometers, they can still catch these
pollutants. This is because HEPA filters do not work like,
say, a sieve, catching particles too large to pass through the
filter screen. HEPA filters actually capture these
pollutants.
Now that we know what a HEPA air purifier is
and how it works, let's talk about the benefits to a household
that has a HEPA air purifer working for it. Are you a
smoker? These filters can literally pull smoke out of the
air, lowering the second-hand smoke for those around you and
generally cleaning the air up from the pollutants in
cigarettes.
Have you recently had a new baby? Babies
have almost NO immune system beyond the temporary protection
their mother leaves them with at birth. A HEPA air
purifier in the baby's room is a wonderful, and some might say
vital, purchase. The cleaner the air, the healthier the
child can begin to grow up.
What about pets? Fur, dander and,
unfortunatly sometimes, bugs, all can be brought in by your
pet. Even pollen (for those of you with allergies) can
come in on say, a dog's feet and legs. A HEPA air purifier can
and will clean fur, dander and pollen out of the air,
reducing potential allergens. It can also catch and trap
those tiny bugs, keeping your home cleaner and safer for you
and your loved ones.
With all these amazing benefits, it's hard to
believe that HEPA air purifiers haven't gotten more
attention. Sadly, the things that are the healthiest and
best for us frequently get the least attention. If you'd
like any proof of that, watch TV for an hour and see how many
fast food commercials you see when compared to, say,
commercials for a local gym (or even a major chain for that
matter) and you'll begin to understand why HEPA air purifiers
are frequently not even known to the general public.

probably have already, please see some of the great articles
